NOCCCD STUDY ABROAD PROGRAM

How to apply for Sumer 2007
Study Abroad in Shanghai, China
:

Students are encouraged to submit completed forms, transcripts, and deposits as soon as possible to reserve their place in the program.  The China program is limited to the first 25 eligible applicants; approximately 8 openings remain.

  1. Submit the following application materials:
  • Application form for Study Abroad Program (You can also find these forms outside office 738-02, in the FC library, and at the Study Abroad Office.)
  • Travel vendor registration form
  • $300 Deposit (check or money order).  Extended to March 24, 2007.  Submit your payment either in person to Darren Chiang-Schultheiss or deliver your materials to the Fullerton College campus mailroom across from the cafeteria.
  • Copy of unofficial college transcripts (link to WebSTAR)
  1. Interview:  Students with completed applications will be contacted for a brief 20-minute personal interview with two Study Abroad faculty.
  2. Selection Process: A selection committee will meet to review each application, transcripts, and interview report. Through e-mail and phone calls, the committee will recommend acceptance, wait list status, or suggest that the student apply for a later program.

  1. Provisional Acceptance:  Students who have not completed 12 units and/or English 100 or equivalent may be accepted provisionally, provided the English 100 course is in progress.

  2. Deadline:  Acceptance will be on a rolling basis.

The China Program is limited to an enrollment of 25 students.  Please submit your materials as soon as possible to secure your place.
